The grub

The Grub on plank is a proposal for part of a future development project called “Imagine Plank Road”. Imagine plank road is seeking to provide a better urban environment for the community by setting goals for the future development to tackle equality. This future development includes rapid transit, a civic center, walkable and bikeable streets and single-family housing. Along with the many developments that Imagine plank road has planned, having access to fresh food became a topic of conversation. Due to plank road being located in a food desert paired with input from the community a new urban food hub was added to the proposal.

The Grub Urban food hub on plank road works to help engage the community by providing spaces that not only provide access to fresh food but also incorporates different farming techniques where anyone in the community can come and learn. The goal of The Grub is to provide quality food for the community while also educating the community on the many different farming techniques that are available to them to start a garden of their own.
